---On Jan. 11th, 2012, headed by Vice
President of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI)
Mr. Dai Jiqun, HRC Director Ms. Cheng Xialei and other
HRC leaders reported work in the Bureau of Rural Hydropower
& Electrification Development of Ministry of Water
Resources (MWR). Deputy Director General of the Bureau,
Mr. Liu Zhongmin, Deputy Inspector Li Rufang, and department
heads were present at the meeting.
On behalf of NHRI, Vice President Mr.
Dai Jiqun expressed their heartfelt thanks to the guidance
and help that the Bureau of Rural Hydropower and Electrification
Development provided to HRC in 2011.
Ms. Cheng Xialei, HRC's Director, reported
the work that was carried out by HRC in 2011 and the working
plan for 2012. In 2011, under the correct leadership of
MWR and NHRI, by carefully implementing the spirit of
the No.1 Document of the Central Committee of CPC and
the Central Working Conference of Water Conservancy, and
with the guidance of Scientific Outlook of Development,
HRC made great achievement in scientific research, platform
construction, international cooperation, training and
information exchange, scientific and technical service,
as well as talents cultivation, etc. She also hoped the
Bureau strengthen the supervision and guidance on HRC's
work. HRC will further implement the spirit of the Document
No.1 of the Central Committee of CPC and the Central Working
Conference of Water Conservancy, tightly seize the opportunity
of Efficiency Improvement and Capacity Enlargement of
Rural Hydropower, Ecological Protection Engineering of
Substituting SHP for Fuel, Construction of Rural Electrification
conducted in China., speed up smooth and rapid development
in the path of constructing a national top-ranking scientific
research institute, play a important role in research
and development, technical service and international cooperation,
and provide technical assistance for the Bureau of Rural
Hydropower and Electrification Development.
After listening to the working report,
leaders of the Bureau of Rural Hydropower and Electrification
Development granted full recognition to the work HRC conducted
in 2011, as well as put forward a few hopes and requirements
on the work that will be carried out in 2012. Deputy Director
General Mr. Liu Zhongmin expressed his hope that HRC will
put further emphasis and strengthen the input in terms
of standardization, scientific and technical innovation,
security inspection and so on, conscientiously carry out
technical service of efficiency improvement and capacity
enlargement, substituting SHP for fuel, rural electrification,
development and planning of water resources, etc., and
at the same time provide good service for the "Going
Global" of SHP industry.
