Indonesian Guests visited HRC

   ---On January 6th, 2015, 7 guests from Indonesia (including a former HRD Director of PLN—State Electricity Company of Indonesia) headed by Mr. Eman, Manager of PLN PUSHARLIS (a center for electricity maintenance under the leadership of PLN), paid a visit to HRC, focusing on exploring the feasibility to cooperation in the field of SHP.

   Ms. Cheng Xialei, Director General of HRC, Mr. Xu Jincai, Deputy Director of HRC, and chiefs from Hangzhou Yatai Hydro Equipment Completing Co., Ltd. (a whollyowned subsidiary of HRC) and HRC's Planning & Design Institute attended the meeting held on the morning.

   During the period of implementing the UNDP Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund Project called "Technical Seminar on Small Hydropower for ASEAN Countries" in Indonesia at the end of last year, HRC delegation visited PLN PUSHARLIS and signed a MOU for future bilateral cooperation. This return visit by Indonesian side aimed at promoting the substantive cooperation.

   In the meeting, the in-depth discussions were carried out cordially about the development planning of SHP and renewable energy in the next five years. Both sides also exchanged views on issues of technology and financing for the potential hydropower projects. Ms. Cheng hoped that with the backing of Indonesian incentive policies on SHP development and combined with HRC's advantages, extensive hydropower cooperation would be promoted by our two sides.

   In that afternoon, accompanied by HRC's staff, the Indonesian guests visited a local hydropower E/M manufacturer. (2015-01-16)
