---On July 13th, Director General of
HRC, Ms. Cheng Xialei signed a MOU with Mr. Harrison Mutikanga,
CEO of Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL),
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development of Uganda for
mutual cooperation on human resources training, project
development etc.
Around 50 distinguished guests presented
and witnessed this signing ceremony, including H.E. Mr.
Zhao Yali, Chinese Ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Ouyang Daobing,
the Economic and Commercial Counselor, Mr. Aston Kajara,
Minister of State for Privatization, representative of
the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, Chairman
and Board Members of UEGCL, representatives from Chinese
companies and news media etc.
During her stay in Uganda, Ms. Cheng
visited two sites to be planned for building a training
center and also went to the site of Isimba hydropower
project which is being constructed by China International
Water & Electric Corp (CWE).(2015-08-17)
