---On the morning of 1st September,
a 25-person delegation of 2015 Training Course on Civil
Engineering for South Sudan, which was a foreign-aid program
sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the
Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, paid a visit
to HRC.
The Division Chief of Foreign Affairs&
Training, Mr. Lin Ning presided over the meeting. HRC
Director General, Ms. Cheng Xialei, extended a warm welcome
to the guests from South Sudan and made a briefing on
HRC. As requested, she also introduced the development
mode and technical characteristics of small hydropower,
etc. The guests from South Sudan showed a great interest
in Chinese SHP technology and equipments and communicated
with HRC experts on the status-quo and difficulties of
SHP development in South Sudan, as well as SHP site selection,
hydropower planning, project financing, etc. The South
Sudan guests highly evaluated the competence of HRC in
the field of SHP development, and hoped to enhance the
mutual cooperation in the near future.
All the participants also visited one
of HRC's affiliates called Hangzhou Yatai Hydro Equipment
Completing Co. Ltd., and the New Technical Lab of Small
and Medium Hydropower in HRC. (2015-09-10)
