---Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce
and organized by HRC, 2015 Seminar on Rural Electrification
for English-speaking African Countries was held successfully
in Hangzhou from 27 Aug to 16 Sept. 25 officials from
6 countries including Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, South
Africa, south Sudan and Tanzania came to attend the seminar.
This is the 77th foreign-aid training program HRC implemented
since its establishment. Based on the concerted efforts
of all lecturers, participants and HRC training team,
this seminar has achieved fruitful results.
During the seminar, experts from HRC
gave informative lectures include General Survey of Rural
Electrification and SHP Development in China, Rural Electrification
Modes in China from the Perspective of Green Hydropower,
SHP Exploitation Types, Rural Hydraulic Structure, etc.
Representatives of the African countries also gave the
country reports on the subject of rural electrification.
Based on full communication and exchange of technical
experience in the filed of renewable energy such as SHP
and rural electrification, an in-depth discussion on how
to effectively carry out further cooperation in these
fields was conducted between participants and HRC specialists.
Participants also paid an on-site visit
to the Three Gorges Project, Gezhouba Hydropower Project,
Shizhutou rubber dam Station in Jin Hua, Lingang onshore
and offshore wind farm in Shanghai, Dong'ao Island distributed
power system in Zhuhai and Zhejiang Jinlun Electromechanic
Co., Ltd., etc. They got a comprehensive understanding
of technological level and equipment manufacturing capacity
in renewable energy such as SHP and rural electrification,
which laid a foundation for future cooperation.
Mr. Fan Aihua, Division Chief of Foreign
Investment and Economic Cooperation, Department of Commerce
of Zhejiang Province, Ms. Cheng Xialei, Director General
of HRC , and Mr. Huang Jianping, Deputy Director of HRC
were present at the closing ceremony on 16th September.
