---From July 1 to 4, 2019, Pro. Milos Nedeljkovic, Head of Department for Hydropower Engineering of University of Belgrade, Serbia, led a delegation to visit HRC and HRC's technical innovation and equipment development & experimental base for renewable energy. Both sides had an in-depth exchange on the ongoing China-Serbia inter-governmental key project for scientific and technological innovation--"Joint Research on the Development Technology of Low-head Run-of-the-river Hydropower". Two sides reviewed the project progress, and reached consensus on the follow-up work with a conclusion of signing the meeting minutes.
University of Belgrade is a multi-disciplinary university founded earlier in Europe. It formed a partnership with HRC in 2016, and both sides are now implementing the inter-governmental key project. Under this project, both sides aim to establish the “Technology and Equipment Development Base of Small Hydropower for West Asia, Eastern Europe and Caucasian Region " in Serbia through joint technical research on the assessment and planning of hydropower resources of typical rivers, the simulation of low-head run-of-the-river hydropower development, technical training and seminar, setting up of a demonstrative hydropower plant and a Joint Research Center on Hydropower-based Rural Electrification Technology in Serbia.(2019-07-10)
