---At the invitation of Cape Peninsula
University of Technology (CPUT) and Tanzania Electric
Supply Company Limited (TANESCO), a five-person delegation
led by Director of HRC Ms. Cheng Xialei paid a foreign-aid
training return visit to South Africa and Tanzania during
10th -19th April, 2013. Members of the delegation were:
Mr. Pan Daqing, Division Chief of Foreign Affairs &
Training of HRC, Mr. Li Zhiwu, Division Chief of Scientific
Research Center of HRC, Mr. Lin Ning, Assistant Director
of HRC and Ms. Shi Jin from Division of Foreign Affairs
&Training. During the abroad mission, the delegation
had visited South African Department of Water Affairs
(DWA), City of Cape Town (CoCT), Cape Peninsula University
of Technology (CPUT), Tanzanian Ministry of Energy and
Minerals (MEM), Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited
(TANESCO), Rural Energy Agency (REA) and etc. A seminar
on Small Hydropower and Rural Electrification had been
co-organized by HRC and TANESCO. It is the first time
that HRC paid a visit in terms of China's foreign-aid
training. The delegation had visited 8 related organizations
in total, signed 3 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU),
carried out 3 technical exchanges or seminar and met with
nearly 20 HRC's former training participants. With kind
assistance and the company of HRC's former participants,
the mission had been successfully accomplished.(2013-05-13)
